You’ve scheduled your Reiki session and now you may be wondering if or how you should prepare. The most important thing you need to do to get the most out of your Reiki session is to RELAX. Reiki will do all of the heavy lifting, so to speak.
I have a few suggestions for you, which may help but they are totally optional. In the two to three days leading up to your session you might want to:
- Eat cleanly, follow your preferred diet but be sure to consume organic fruits & vegetables as well as properly sourced, clean proteins
- Eliminate alcohol
- Decrease or eliminate sugar intake
- Decrease or eliminate caffeine
- Reduce or eliminate smoking
- Spend a few minutes each day in meditation or quiet stillness reflecting on your reasons for arranging this session
- Write down any questions you may have for your Reiki practitioner
The day of your Reiki session, I would suggest the following:
- Give yourself plenty of time to get to your appointment, rushing will make it difficult to relax when you arrive
- Drink water before your session
- Be sure to empty your bladder right before your session so you won’t be distracted
- Eat before your session but remember you will be lying down on a massage table so you want to choose your meal accordingly and give yourself plenty of time to digest
- Wear comfortable clothing
- Be sure to turn off all electronic devices or place them on Do Not Disturb
I would also suggest you ask your practitioner for their recommendations when you schedule your session.
These few suggestions are easy and should enhance your Reiki session. Again, the best recommendation is for you to relax and above all enjoy your session.
